About Shelley Conger

Shelley is an outdoor enthusiast born and raised in the South, but Colorado is her true home. After receiving her Business Management degree from Georgia Tech, she moved to Denver to continue her retail management career. Over the next decade she honed her skills in customer service, planning, organizing, and teaching. After years of helping people find the perfect furniture for their homes, she decided it was time to help them find the perfect home itself.

Shelley prides herself on providing a high level of service and is truly passionate about helping her clients meet their needs and achieve their goals. Shelley’s success has come through earning her clients’ trust, not from being a pushy sales person. She wants her clients to enjoy the process of buying or selling their home.

Shelley’s mantra is ‘work hard, play hard,’ so when she’s not assisting clients, Shelley’s likely to be climbing a 14er, snowboarding the back bowls, or paddling her kayak across the lake. She’s been a NW Denver neighbor for years and also enjoys planting flowers in her garden or taking her dog for a walk around the lake.

Q&A With Shelley…

Where do you LIVE?
NW Denver is where it’s at! I’ve lived in Lohi, Highlands, and now call Berkeley home. I love the small community feel without being far from downtown. I enjoy my daily walks around the lake and the occasional trip to the dog park with my big dog, Maximus. And few things beat a summer stroll down Tennyson with gelato from Parisi.

Why Real Estate... Aren't There Enough Agents On The Planet Already?
Getting into real estate was an obvious choice for me. I’ve always be interested in architecture, history, and am intrigued by watching neighborhoods and cities evolve. More than that, I’ve always loved helping people. I just can’t hold myself back from being a tour guide when friends visit, sharing the best restaurants, or connecting friends with businesses or services they need. I enjoy meeting new people and genuinely want to help them. Real estate allows me to help people with one of the biggest and most important purchases of their lives, and I take that responsibility seriously. In management, I learned the importance of follow-up, and I work hard to not drop the ball. I pride myself on being honest, hardworking, and providing excellent service.

What Music Is Currently On Your Playlist?
Lumineers, The Decemberist, or some classic 90s Alt Rock.

What Cause Gets Your Time And Money?
I’m for supporting just about anything animal or nature related, but a few organizations are particularly close to my heart:

The Greater Denver Audubon Society - whose mission is “[advocating] for the environment, connecting people with nature through conservation, education, and research.”

The Cal-wood Education Center - whose goals are “(1) to help all who come to Cal-Wood develop a greater appreciation for the natural world; (2) to offer environmental education to those who would not otherwise experience it; and (3) to provide unique educational opportunities in a special mountain setting.”

San Miguel County Search and Rescue (SAR) - The wonderful people who saved my husband that time he fell off a mountain. Based near Telluride, CO, SAR “covers everything from lost hikers, technical rock rescues, helicopter extractions, and avalanche rescues.

Give It Up. What Local Restaurant Is Your Best Kept Secret?
Many of my favorites are by far no secret anymore – DJ’s Berkeley Café, Billy’s Inn, Trattoria Stella – but you can almost always find a table below Parisi at Firenze a Tavola. (You’ll find me there most birthdays or other special nights out.)
